Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Manchester, Missouri
A lot of people drive past the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. It’s located by a busy street and across from a large shopping center with a Costco and Walmart. The church wanted to reach out to the community and interest them in its programs and activities.
A full-color LED sign opened the door to make that connection. Once installed on their property, Communications Coordinator, Jennifer Makowski used the sign to promote everything from the Feed My Starving Children Pack fundraiser to preschool enrollment.
“I believe the sign has helped attract visitors to our church services, fundraising activities, and social events. Advertising on our sign also increased enrollment at our preschool,” says Julie Deay, Church Business Administrator.
Because an LED sign is so easy to operate, it’s not a problem to promote many different events and to keep content fresh. Good Shepherd reaches both first-time attendees and current congregation members with messages about service times, Trunk or Treat, concerts, pet blessings, special services, and car washes.
S.O.I. Outdoor Signs, Chesterfield, Missouri, worked with the church throughout the entire process, from choosing a sign to first-time fire up. The company also fabricated the structure and installed the sign.
