If construction is in your future, you will want to protect your existing LED display(s) from the dust and debris.

When planning to cover a display, it is important to remember that Daktronics products, like all electronics, are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). By their nature, LEDs are especially sensitive to ESD. The mechanical parts and environmental coatings (if present) can provide some level of protection against ESD, but are not enough to be able to deflect all ESD events. Daktronics testing has shown that fully built module assemblies are still susceptible to ESD type events.

It is very important that an anti-static rated material be specified any time a display is to be covered. If more protection than just the plastic sheet is needed, the anti-static rated product must be the one that is actually in contact with the display. The industry standard for this type of product is a pink colored plastic sheet. Daktronics stocks one type, but it also can be obtained from many different packaging and plastic sheet suppliers. If a material that is not anti-static rated is used, the likelihood of generating static during the covering, transporting or removing of the material from the display is quite high, even if there is no power to the display. This increases the chances of damaging critical components in the display and causing costly repairs and down time.
