Show Control operators can edit the colors and brightness in Display Studio to fit their preferences.  These are not just a cosmetic feature.  The wrong background can strain your eyes faster.  Save your eyes by adjusting the themes in Display Studio.

The Display Studio’s dark theme puts less strain on the eyes in a dimly lit control room.

Dark backgrounds are often preferred in dimly lit control rooms because the low contrast makes things easier to see.  On the other hand a light background in a dark room might be distracting and cause eye fatigue.

As a general rule, choose the following:

  • Bright room= light theme
  • Dark room= dark theme.

Most prefer the monitor to be approximately the same as the brightness of the surrounding work environment. You can change your Display Studio dark/light theme quickly to accommodate your environment.  Accent color options include blue, green, orange, red, and yellow is new with Show Control version 2.5.
