We have previously blogged about the new Tools page in Venus Control Suite. We also mentioned that there would be additional features added to and/or moved to the new Tools page. This week, a relatively new feature was in fact moved to the Tools page for your ease of access.

You can now find the new Font Uploader in the Tools page! Simply click on Tools in the Main Menu and then click on the Fonts button to upload your fonts. All the existing functionality of the Font Uploader will remain the same. The only real difference is where you will do the uploading from!

If you would like to learn more about uploading fonts in Venus Control Suite, please read our previous blog on the matter that will walk you through the entire process step-by-step.

Speaking of the Tools page, this leads us into our next update. The Tools page is now accessible by Users in the “Basic” role. Basic Users in Venus Control Suite have limited access with only the ability to run Reports and create Accounts.

Since one of the two functions of a Basic User is to run Reports, it made sense to give them access to Events. Therefore, Basic Users will now be able to access the Tools page, where they can create Events for reporting.  Basic Users will not be able to see the Time Range Aliases or Fonts buttons.

Events

If you would like to learn more about creating Events for reporting in Venus Control Suite, please read our previous blog on that subject that will walk you through the entire process step-by-step.

Short and sweet this week, I know, but we want to keep you informed on all of our updates big or small so you can always stay familiar with your software.
