Five Benefits of Attending Sales Expo!

Attendees came from all over the US and Canada for Sales Expo. Here’s why you won’t want to miss Sales Expo in 2019!

Last week, sign professionals visited Daktronics corporate headquarters in Brookings, SD with more than 50 attending their first Sales Expo. Attendees came from as far as Canada, Arizona and Florida to take in the 3-day event.

With so many attendees coming from all over the US and Canada, you might be wondering what you missed out on. Here’s why you won’t want to miss Sales Expo in 2019!

5. $500 is given away!

Every year, we host our annual Sign Design Contest. Attendees submit their best sign design from the last year, share the story of their installation and their peers voted on the winners. James Fuschsel of La Crosse Sign Group and Dick Thompson of Mayer Signs each took home $250!

4. We provide hands-on training that you can only get at Daktronics!

To kick off the expo, we had more than 40 attendees working with our experienced customer trainers to learn everything they need to know about Venus Control Suite. The afternoon sessions brought guided tours of the manufacturing floor and reliability labs. Attendees had an opportunity to talk with the product experts one-on-one. This type of learning opportunity can only be experienced here at Daktronics.

3. Sales Expo is advised by Sign Company Professionals.

We could not have planned Sales Expo without the help of individuals from sign companies. This year, these individuals helped us develop a schedule and sessions that are the most relevant for their peers. We owe a huge thank you to the following advisory board members:

  • Mike McGuire, Piros Signs
  • Daryl Kirt, Scenic Sign Corporation
  • Chad Killorn, Chadz Wrapz & Signs
  • Drew Weltin, Indigo Signworks

2. We’re committed to your personal success.

Kelly Wirges of ProMax Training & Consulting, Inc. spoke about lost productivity and how it can impact your sales goals. Attendees were pushed out of their comfort zone to take a hard look at how they prioritize their sales activities every day. Kelly challenged us to add two prospecting calls daily, set weekly sales activity goals and track our results.

1. Learn through networking.

At Sales Expo we work together to solve challenges the industry faces and head home armed with the personal connections, tools, and knowledge to overcome those scenarios. This is your chance to interact with like-minded individuals to gather new ideas and perspectives.
