The annual Winter Baseball Trade Show swings into action next week in Las Vegas. As a proud sponsor of the Trade Show, Daktronics has attended for over a decade.
As baseball recaps this past season and looks ahead to the next, we look back on some memorable and significant Daktronics installations from 2018.
In Major League Baseball, 10 teams upped their display game for the 2018 baseball season. Among the highlights were the Colorado Rockies logo-inspired mountain-scape design to the top of their main video board. The display is the largest video board in the National League and a testament to Daktronics engineering capabilities.
At Angel Stadium, Daktronics installed the most total LED square footage in an MLB ballpark for the Los Angeles Angels. The project also included the third largest video display in MLB and LED ‘corner wraps’ to the right field video display, a first for an outdoor main video board.
At Target Field, the Minnesota Twins installed Narrow Pixel Pitch displays to their Bat & Barrel club. Daktronics ultra-high definition displays are a popular trend for concourse, club and concession areas throughout venues.
Daktronics also had more than 10 installations in Minor League Baseball for the 2018 season. The Great Lakes Loons came back to Daktronics to replace previous displays that had served them for over a decade. The Loons also upgraded their production show by incorporating Daktronics Show Control System and worked with our Creative Service team to develop new content. Check out what they had to say about the project in the video above.
This past summer our products were also on display at eight Minor League Baseball all-star games, including a sponsorship of the South Atlantic League All-Star Game hosted by the Grasshoppers.

MiLB is known for providing major entertainment. This season, the Frisco RoughRiders did not disappoint as they used their Daktronics display and control system to host creative and interactive games such as Are You Faster Than A T-Rex and Where’s Teddy At?
We will be demoing some interactive games we have developed in our booth (#609) this year, so stop by and try them out!
Also, come talk to us about our new feature in Show Control, Data Effects. Data Effects makes it simpler than ever before to draw fans’ attention to data on your display by incorporating broadcast-like effects as game situations and statistics change, including roll, fade, flip, flash and color change.
Over 90 Minor League Baseball teams rely on Daktronics for their main video displays, and 22 Major League Baseball teams have integrated Daktronics super systems.

We hope to see you at Winter Baseball! Come by our booth, #609.
