Your Daktronics team strives to provide everything from information to inspiration at Sales Expo, and 2022 was no exception! Here are some of the highlights.

Daktronics welcomed 38 people from 22 different sign companies to our corporate headquarters in Brookings, South Dakota. We enjoyed chatting with those we haven’t seen in awhile, as well as getting to know the 22 first timers! We also had 8 sign companies join us virtually.
The high energy and enthusiasm from both our attendees and speakers created an environment like no other. People left with new knowledge and ideas they could put toward a plan to help their businesses grow.
Speakers and Sessions
Our keynote speaker, Erik Therwanger, spoke about “Selling Thru Chaos” and navigating an evolving supply chain. His insights should be applicable to selling to all niches, all around the nation.
Attendees also got up close and personal with our digital signage technology inside our showroom and talked one-on-one with our product and sales experts. Through discussions and peer panels, attendees got to know each other while sharing sales strategies.

As always, we set aside time to socialize with the other attendees – sign industry professionals with similar values and challenges. We deeply value the relationships we build over the years and hope to continue doing so.
We honored Pat Schuster, one of our longest-running sign company partners, with an award to show our gratitude for his partnership. He attended the first-ever Sales Expo and many more throughout the years.
Sign Design Contest
The Sign Design competition is a key piece of the Sales Expo. Both in person and virtual attendees voted for the winners, who won $250 – and this year’s bragging rights. Here are our winners:
Under 50-square-feet: La Crosse Sign Group out of Wisconsin won with their First Lutheran Church marquee display.
Over-50-square-feet: EMI Signs from California won with their massive display for the Meredith International Center.
