A recent success story comes from New 2 You, a thrift store in Willmar, Minnesota.
“We installed our digital display on a Tuesday, since we are open Wednesday through Saturday. That Wednesday we had the highest sales we’ve ever experienced. You don’t always get instant feedback like that from other forms of advertising, such as print, newspaper, or radio,” says Becky Zondervan, store manager.
The thrift store’s staff had a hard time updating their previous sign, a cracked letter board, during the cold Minnesota winters. In addition to easy programming, the new digital display’s flexibility is perfect for this business.
“One day, we might get a bedroom set, and it could be gone right away the next morning. On other forms of media, it’s difficult to advertise that, but with a digital display, we can showcase new inventory and remove it the minute it sells,” says Zondervan.
