3 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Basketball Season Tips Off

Preparing for basketball season? Here are 3 things to consider to ensure your display system is ready!

The countdown to the first basketball game has begun, and it’s time to prepare for the season ahead.  Creating a vision, working with staff and preparing your equipment all takes planning and knowledge, and we are here to help during this time of preparation. So, as you get ready, here are three questions to ask yourself before the season tips off:

1. Do you have new staff that need to learn about video production?

To help answer this question, here is a 5-minute video that outlines the positions in a game-day control room. If you have new people in these positions, some training might be necessary. As a bonus, this video also shares the basics of creating an engaging show.

2. Got content?

If you’re not sure you have the content you need, we can certainly help you out. Our Creative Services team recently updated their Branded Catalog with a new style option. Check out the content reel below and reach out to your account manager to learn more about all of our content offerings.

3. Who is keeping score?

We want your All Sport and display operators to have the skills and knowledge needed for a smooth season. Check out this video on All Sport configuration for basketball to help them get started.

Our Daktronics operators often prepare for the season by reviewing game scripts, doing game walkthroughs or practicing with recordings of previous games. Train your staff early so they are prepared for the exciting season ahead. =

Lastly, if you’re an NCAA customer, make sure you’re ready to take advantage of the new changes in statistics and data collection, management and distribution. Don’t forget, we have resources available online whenever you need them.  Visit Daktronics/support or go directly to our basketball system support page for basketball specific information.
